Lovey Pops

I don't know about you, but I have an abundance of paper cupcake liners. Of course we use them to bake muffins and cupcakes, but we also like to craft with them. They are a great size and shape for kids, and they are easy to cut and glue to each other, or on to paper.

These Lovey Pops are a great idea for Valentine's Day in the US, or the Jewish version in August called Tu B'Av. You could also change the colors to red, white and blue for the Fourth of July, or make blue and white ones as Simchat Torah flags. The directions are below, and more samples can be seen here.

Supplies
3 paper cupcake liners per pop
1 lollipop stick, popsicle stick, real stick or plastic utensil
1 piece of blank paper
Scissors
White glue or glue stick
Tape
Markers or crayons

Directions
Decide which of the three paper liners will go on the front, middle and back of your pop. Fold the top circle in half and cut half a heart out. Save the heart. Tape the stick to the middle circle, bottom up. Then glue the top circle to the middle one. Do not put glue in the middle since the heart will make that part visible. Then turn the pop over and glue the third circle bottom up on to the other two. Cut out a strip of paper, about 4" x 1.5". Fold it in half, and glue the paper heart on it, and add a message. Squeeze glue on the inside of the paper strip, and glue it on to the bottom of the stick.

You can display them in a bottle of sprinkles or in a cup of candy. Or just wave them around for a Happy Valentine's Day!

So cute...and yet simple. I'm all about simple when it comes to crafts...I'm too eager to get a project done and if its too complicated I get frustrated. hee hee! :)

These are so cute and would be great to do with the grandkids. Easy and simple enough they can make. I love the idea of having them displayed in a cup
