Let Them Go from Chozen: The Musical

Let Them Go
The sand glows white in Mitzrayim tonight
Not a footprint I can see
A lifetime of isolation,
And it looks like it’s time to be free

The wind is howling like the working slaves outside
Need to set them free, I just have to try

Must let them out, and set them free
Be the leader I have to be
Conceal, don’t feel, don’t let Pharaoh know
Well, now he’ll know

Let them go, let them go
Can’t hold them back anymore
Let them go, let them go
They can’t stay slaves anymore

I don’t care
What you’re going to say
Let the plagues rage on,
No one wanted the pyramids anyway

It’s funny how the plagues seem to
Start out so small
Some blood flowing and then frogs hopping tall
Can’t get to me at all

It’s time to see what He can do
To test the limits and break through
All right, no wrong, need to set them free
Be free

Let them go, let them go
I am one with Adonai
Let them go, let them go
He doesn’t want to hear their cry

Here I stand
And here I'll stay
Let the plagues rage on

The lice flurries through the air into the ground
The hail is spiralling in frozen fractals all around
And one thought crystallizes like an icy blast
They’re never going back,
The past is in the past

Let them go, let them go
And they’ll rise like the break of dawn
Let them go, let them go
Your slaves will soon be gone

Here I stand
With no light this day
Let the plagues rage on,
No one wanted the pyramids anyway
