![]() As we prepare for Passover, we spend so much time figuring out how to get the chametz out of the house, and when to bring the matzah in. Will we get shmura, egg, whole wheat, onion or gluten free mtazah? The possibilities are indeed endless. But what we will cover this matzah with is also important! Along with the seder plate, the matzah is the star of the seder table! It should be covered in style. Of course a hand painted matzah cover made by a kid is always ideal. But if you don't want to get that project going, there are also endless options for finding matzah covers locally and online. One such Judaica cover artist local to the SF East Bay is Myra Kaplan. A ceramic artist turned fabric artist, she now sells challah and matzah covers that are hand sewn, and painted using stencils she designs herself. The matzot fit neatly in this cover with three slots inside. She also makes an afikomen cover for when the time comes for hiding the matzah in style too! Posted by Rachel Teichman
