Give a Birthday Party to a Homeless Bay Area Child

We have been lucky to find so many new places to play, and things to discover since we moved to Houston. We loved our spots in the SF Bay Area too, and one that we miss the most is
Habitot Children’s Museum. It is such a fun and educational place, with changing exhibits and old standards that we could always count on too. Now they are showing what an even more incredible organization they are, by raising money to host birthday parties for homeless children.

We are all so lucky to be able to plan our own children's dream birthday parties, but some kids don't get any celebrations. Please consider helping with even a one dollar donation. There are perks for slightly higher donations, but anything really does help. Helping other children is a great teaching moment for your own children, and a wonderful example of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world).

Lauren Levin, the Development and Marketing Manager at Habitot Children’s Museum, shared with us what one of these special parties would include.

"A dream birthday party, with a whole museum's worth of fun exhibits, art, and water play open exclusively to the birthday child and his or her guests, plus a birthday cake, a specially chosen present, and transportation to the museum thrown in."

Because as their campaign explains, "Homeless children should have a very special party on their birthdays."

Thank you for your support!

This is a great idea! I'm pinning it to my Teach Kids To Pay it Forward board, and so glad to have found these resources. Also, love the name of your blog. My sons are Hebrew speakers and one of their most favorite Hebrish words is Coo-oogiah.
