We all buy our kids so many toys, and other people do too. But more often than not, what first catches their interest is the bubble wrap and the box. Bubble wrap can make so much noise in so little time! And a box can become absolutely anything. Especially the ones that are big enough to go inside. Those become fire trucks, rockets ships and cozy homes.
The same can be said for cats! Everyone thinks they need beds made just for them and all kinds of toys to chase after. But all they really need to feel comfortable at night is a corner (or all of) our own beds or couches. And when it comes to their cat naps, any bag, box, lid or even train track, will do! They just want to feel secure and literally contained.
When cats play they don't need the variety of cat toys we have provided either. A ball of paper, bottle lid or piece of string can keep them fully entertained.
It actually is all about the packaging!
